Professional Online Video Marketing - Key to your SuccessIf ever two trends were meant to intersect, it’s the growth of consumer appetite for researching their travel and leisure options online on the one hand, and their exploding appetite for online video on the other. -- http://www.hotelmarketing.com/ 84 million Americans currently have broadband at home, compared to 60 million in 2005. 69 percent of American Internet users have watched video on the web. Twenty-four percent do so at least once a week, 5% do so everyday. 123 million Americans watch a video at least monthly, and three-quarters tell a friend about them. 70 percent of the online population has watched online video and the average consumer watches 73 minutes of online video a month. Sources: Comtron, Arbitron and Edison Media Research, Online Publishers Association, Pew Internet and American Life Project, 2006, emarketer.com The proliferation of broadband Internet connections has provided an increasing number of users with the capability to access rich media content efficiently. Nearly half of all U.S. households had broadband Internet access in 2006, with broadband Internet penetration expected to reach 73% by 2010. In addition, the average speed of downstream access for a broadband connection, the speed at which an end-user accesses media files, doubled from the third quarter of 2004 to the same quarter of 2006. -- http://www.limelightnetworks.com/ |
