All Things Dolly
Singer, songwriter, actress, author, philanthropist: Dolly Parton is all these things and more. Learn everything you wanted to know about the woman: The Smokey Mountain Home proves that while Dolly came from humble beginnings, she is an unmatched in her successful entertainment career, as displayed at the mind-blowing Chasing Rainbows Museum. Take in a service at the Robert F. Thomas Chapel, look for Dolly facts around the park, and even step onto her “home on wheels,” the Dolly Parton touring bus! It has two bathrooms, because she’s Dolly and can do whatever she wants.
Thrill Rides
With wooden roller coasters such as The Thunderhead (which boasts a 100-foot drop) and the kid-friendly Waltzing Swinger in the same park, adventure is certain. If you prefer speed and scares, hop onto the Mystery Mine, Tennessee Tornado, or the Timber Tower. To slow down and revel in the Smokey Mountain scenery, all aboard the Dollywood Express, a coal-fired steam engine straight out of Pigeon Forge history! But consider yourself warned, The Wonder Wheel is no ordinary Ferris wheel—much scarier than it appears!
Live Shows and Festivals
Taking a cue from the unique entertainer herself, Dollywood boasts year-round shows featuring live bluegrass, country, gospel, and even rock-n-roll music. Throughout the day, jugglers, magicians, and other performers can be seen walking the streets of Dollywood to delight kids of all ages. In addition to these daily performers, four of the South’s most popular festivals take place at Dollywood, culminating in the annual Smokey Mountain Christmas celebration (November 6 through January 1).

Yes, a Bald Eagle sanctuary can be seen in the vast forestry located amongst thrill rides and craft shops.
Arts and Crafts
For an interactive history lesson, go back in time and learn some of the oldest Smokey Mountain crafts! From candy making to blacksmithing to glass blowing, these traditional trades are authentic recreations of mountain life. You can even take home your creations while learning how the mountain people lived day to day for generations.
Shopping and Dining
With more than 40 specialty shops selling apparel, handmade crafts, artwork, and memorabilia, souvenir hunters can’t leave empty-handed. To take a rest from carrying around bags of bargains, stop into one of the many restaurants and cafes that offer pizza, ice cream, funnel cakes, and of course—down-home Southern cooking.
