When I look for “The Lord of the Rings” on DVD at Amazon, I get so many results.?
Why are there so many choices??????

How do I know which one is best???? How do I know which one I want??? And how do I know if I want to buy the trilogy or each movie seperatly(normally I know, but I’m so confused). I live in the USA.

It’s because there are theatrical versions and extended versions.With that comes widescreen and fullscreen
versions. Your best bet is to get the copies that have
both the theatrical and extended versions.They come with
these beautiful boxes that look like framed stills from each
movie.When you go on amazon,get the set that’s labeled

The extended versions of the movies have extra footage
that wasn’t in theatrical versions.So each movie is
longer than the version seen by the public originally. It’s whats called a director’s cut. And yes each of them
have a lot of special features.You’ll get your money’s
worth with this set. And this is the newest set for the

if I’m not mistaken).
